Ben Ponté is a visual artist and experience guide based in New York City.

Born in Sydney, Ben has been living and working in New York for 12 years. Since 2017, on his widely popular experience “Sketch and the City”, Ben has been guiding groups of enthused sketchers around the streets of Manhattan. When Covid 19 hit NYC, like many other New Yorkers, Ben had to re-vision his ideas. What resulted was an online drawing experience that has now been uniting friends, colleagues, and families from all around the world.

Strangely during this difficult time, Ben found the perfect medium by which to communicate the ideas he had been developing in his own work and study for much of his working life. Ben is deeply versed in the depths of imaginative inquiry. Drawing upon his study of Archetypal Psychology, Art History, Poetry, Philosophy, and Yoga, Ben has developed an approach to creativity that is both highly original and timeless in its implication. It is both relevant and enduring, profound and accessible.

Ben grounds this approach on his ability to communicate complex philosophical ideas in everyday language. Via an entirely non-judgmental appreciation of every unique perspective, Ben draws out the creative instinct in each person, validating every unique ‘way of seeing’ as an intricate part of the complex multiplicity that binds our human experience. This approach has been acclaimed and acknowledged by CEO’s and leaders, grandparents and children, couples, and solo explorers from around the world.
